ClearCarry users are gun owners who carry firearms. We recognize that using this app reveals your gun-owner status, carry habits, travel patterns, and permit holdings. That data is sensitive. ClearCarry treats privacy as a core product feature, not a compliance checkbox.
Our Privacy Guarantee
“We do not know who you are. We store a cryptographic hash derived from your recovery phrase and a subscription expiry date. We do not log your queries. We do not store your location. We do not know what firearm you carry, what permits you hold, or where you travel. If we receive a legal demand for your data, there is nothing to produce.”
Two Account Tracks
Standard Track

Anonymous Track
- 12-word recovery phrase — no email required
- All profile data stored on-device only
- Zero query logs — ever

- No analytics, no CDN IP logging
- Server stores only: key hash + expiry date
Anonymous Recovery Phrase
The anonymous track uses a 12-word BIP-39 mnemonic as your sole account credential — generated entirely on your device, never transmitted to our servers. If you lose it, there is no reset path. This is the privacy guarantee.
Crypto Payments
Anonymous-track users pay with Bitcoin, Monero, or Zcash through our self-hosted BTCPay Server. No third-party processor sees your transaction. No wallet address is stored.
No Query Logging
We do not log what jurisdictions you query, what firearm you enter, or where you are. No analytics events fire in anonymous mode.
App Store Payments
Crypto subscriptions are initiated via your browser at clearcarry.com/subscribe — not inside the app. This avoids Apple and Google's in-app purchase requirements.
